Movement Disorder Society Summer School

The 2nd Annual Movement Disorder Society-European Section Summer School for Young Neurologists will take place on 10-12 July, 2009 in Marburg Germany.

The inaugural 2008 MDS-ES Summer School was held in Marburg on July 11-13th, 2008. Course Directors Wolfgang Oertel and Niall Quinn led ten additional faculty and 47 students from 21 countries through an interactive three-day course. The summer school is directed towards young neurologists who are interested in training in Movement Disorders, as well as those who already have some experience in Movement Disorders. It will be taught by an MDS-European Section international faculty of senior Movement Disorders specialists.

  • Day One, attendees will be presented with an overview of Movement Disorders, 
  • Day Two will focus on examination of patients supervised by senior specialists.
  • Day Three will cover therapeutic issues, including administration of botulinum toxins, and management plans.

In order to maintain an interactive experience, registration will be capped at 48 students. Application deadline is May 1st 2009
