Research Registrar Position in Paediatrics and Pharmacogenomics
An exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Research Registrar has arisen through a Crumlin Research Centre funded project. This project is exploring the potential of genetics as a predictor for a particular adverse drug reaction related to anti-epileptic drug use. The study is focused on sodium valproate and associated weight gain and will be conducted on a paediatric patient group recruited through various clinics around Dublin. The successful candidate will receive excellent training in paediatric neurology and the latest genomic techniques for identifying predictors of disease and treatment response. This is a 2 year project starting immediately (or as soon as possible) and you will be expected to submit your research for an MD thesis.
The successful candidate should:
- Have registration with the Irish Medical Council and MRCPI or equivalent.
- Have experience in Paediatrics at Registrar level or > 3 years Paediatric experience
- Have background/experience of statistics and/or genetics
