Irish Neuromuscular Association Meeting 2013

Dr. John McConville will direct the Irish Neuromuscular Association Meeting 2013, which will take place at the Biomedical Science Institute, Trinity College Dublin, on Saturday, May 11th. The meeting will begin at 09.00 with registration from 08.45, and will conclude at 13.00

Title submission

You are invited to submit cases of interest in all aspects of adult and paediatric neuromuscular disease. As usual, the focus will be on particularly interesting or difficult cases with some good discussion and feedback from the audience. The format of the meeting will be case presentation followed by a guest lecture. Cases should be approximately 10 - 15 minutes duration including time for discussion.
Please send your case title with authors, affiliations and a brief description of the research/case to info@iicn.ie before the extended deadline on Monday, April 29th 2013

Guest Lecture


The Irish Neuromuscular Association is honoured to welcome Prof. Zohar Argov, Hadassah University Medical Centre, Jerusalem, who will deliver the guest lecture. Professor Argov's main research fields are:

  • Hereditary neuromuscular disorders (especially in Jews), focusing on Hereditary Inclusion Body Myopathy (HIBM)
  • Iatrogenic neuromuscular disorders (especially drug-induced)
  • Energy metabolism of muscle (P-Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy)
  • Myasthenia gravis

 The Irish Neuromuscular Association Dinner will be held on the evening prior to the meeting at The Blackboard Bistro, 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2 on Friday 10th May at 8pm. Delegates to the meeting are invited to attend (menu cost approx €30pp)Please indicate on your registration form for the meeting if you wish to attend the dinner.
