40th Meeting of the Irish Neurological Association

The Fortieth Meeting of the Irish Neurological Association will take place on Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th May 2004, in the Postgraduate Medical Centre at the Belfast City Hospital.

Abstract submissions.
Abstracts are invited for this meeting and may be submitted to the Institute at admin@iicn.ie. by virus-free email, or alternatively, on virus-free disc. Abstracts are limited to 500 words and should include the names of authors, indicating the presenter and the Institution(s)/place of work. Please indicate preference for platform or poster presentation. The closing date for receipt of abstracts is Friday, March 19th. Successful applicants will be notified by March 31, and further meeting information will be forwarded at that time.

Allison Lecture
The 2004 Allison Lecture will this year be delivered by Professor Victor Dubowitz of London, a truly renowned expert on Neuromuscular Disease. He will speak on Treatment of Muscular Dystrophy (for further details please see separate website posting under Latest News).

A satellite meeting of the Irish Neuromuscular Association will take place on the afternoon of Thursday, May 13th from 2-5pm at the Education Centre, Royal Victoria Hospital. Further information from john.mcconville@royalhospitals.n-i.nhs.uk

Accommodation.
Reservations may be made directly with hotels, the Hastings Europa, the Days Hotel and the Malone Lodge Hotel all being conveniently located for the meeting.

Location and Directions

Local delegates are advised to park in their usual place at the Royal Hospital and walk to the RBHSC. At the hospital, go to the main entrance i.e the new building, the doors by the Flying Saucer, and proceed up the Mall to OPD on the ground floor on the left, thereafter the route will be signed. Awards
Three awards will be made for papers presented at the INA Meeting 2004.
The Irish Neurological Association prize for best paper
The Biogen Idec Prize for best Multiple Sclerosis related paper
The John Kirker prize for best Epilepsy related paper.
