President's Invitation and Welcome

I hope that you will plan to join us at the 53rd Annual INA meeting in Dublin next May. The meeting promises to be informative and educational for both consultants and trainees.
The keynote address will be given by Professor Mark Edwards, St George’s, University of London Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre. Dr Donal Costigan will share some reflections on his career over the years. Controversies in the management of Parkinson's Disease will be robustly debated by Dr R Walsh and Dr T Counihan. Dr D Bradley will moderate the session. This year there will be a new SpR CPC led by Dr Brett emphasising the importance of Neuropathology in our practice.
A Fun Run in Belfield on the Friday morning will be supervised by Dr Hutchinson and Dr Doherty. Please bring your running shoes!

The call for abstracts is now open. The clinical meeting will be divided into keynote speakers from Ireland coupled with selected oral presentations from predefined subspecialty topics. A particular area to develop this year is medical error.  This would include where the initial diagnosis was incorrect or delayed for any reason.
Finally your feedback is important in further developing this important national meeting.

See you all there!                                 -  Dr. Janice Redmond, INA President 2017
