Professor James Lance

Dr. Peter Boers, Dean of the The Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience is saddened to learn of the recent death of the eminent Australian neurologist, Professor James Lance.
Professor Lance was a dedicated and caring doctor, an enthusiastic teacher, and a keen medical researcher. He was an inspiration to several generations of neurologists in Australia, and beyond.
In the words of Professor Matthew Kiernan, President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, "Jim's contribution to neurology and to ANZAN in particular is a legacy of his great life, experienced to the full. The ANZAN Young Investigator Awards named in his honour since 2003 will continue to remind us of his great joy encouraging young people into research"
